Thank you for your interest in the New York American String Teachers Association String Institute! The String Institute is a week long intensive orchestra camp experience held on the beautiful Ithaca College campus in Ithaca, NY.
The String Institute is available to students with a minimum of one year of orchestral reading experience entering 5th-12th grades on the violin, viola, cello or string bass.
The String Institute is available to students with a minimum of one year of orchestral reading experience entering 5th-12th grades on the violin, viola, cello or string bass.
The String Institute is required by the New York State Health Department to obtain a Permit to Operate a Children's Camp certificate issued by the Tompkins County Health Department and is inspected during the camp week.
The Institute is available to all boys and girls on a non-discriminatory basis, without regard to race, color, national origin, or physical condition.
This year's String Institute dates are July 25-31, 2010
